Nike Run to Manila 10 K 2011

Nike Run to Manila 10 K 2011

Manila is the third city in Southeast Asia and one of the 15 cities around the world participating in the Nike We Run City 10K races. It promises a unique run experience combining running and music—and did I mention that it’s going to be a Saturday night run? And at the end of the race the runners will be treated with performances by Chicosci and Parokya ni Edgar.

“With Nike’s very first 10k run inManila, we want to harness the energy of runners and celebrate their individual and cumulative achievements and motivations as we usher in a new season of running,” shared Nike Philippines Marketing Manager Mae Dichupa. “We all have experienced coming to that point in our run when that extra step or mile is a little harder but we feel that adrenaline kick in when we visually register another runner keep pace or pass us on our running route and once conquered, we feel better motivated and more in tuned with ourselves and other runners. We Run Manila 10K is all about just that–it’s the best avenue for runners to relinquish their love for the sport and place it a notch higher by appreciating it against the vibrant culture of urban Manila.”

For as little as ₱650 registration fee, you get an authentic and “personalized” Nike event shirt. I mentioned “personalized” because your shirt will be one of a kind—your race number is printed on it! See the sizing chart below:

Note:

Race kit redemption is from October 11 to 13, 2011, from 10AM to 10PM between B1 and B3 of Bonifacio High Street (in front of the RUNNR). Bring your ID and Registration confirmation slip to collect your race pack.

Additionally, Nike We Run Manila will feature a 10K route that RunRio, the event organizer, have not used before. Start and finish lines will be located at the 9th Avenue, between 32nd and 34th Streets in BGC (near Mercato Centrale). Nike expects 8,000 runners to participate with the Manila leg which will be part of the 150,000 runners from cities across continents to run in this year’s Nike We Run City 10k races.
