While liberals want you to believe they are all about democracy and freedom and the government being about the will of the people and other such empty notions, every once and a while one of them slips up and gives you a peek behind the curtain so you can see the real “wizard” pulling the levers and switches.
Liberalism is, at its root, about using the government to force Americans into the collective, and if they won’t go quietly, then they take the tyranny and turn it up to 11.
For example, the governor of North Carolina suggested that it might be necessary to cancel the 2012 elections so the government could focus on jobs, also known as the continued redistribution of the property of private citizens:
“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover,” Perdue said at a rotary club event in Cary, N.C., according to the Raleigh News & Observer. “I really hope that someone can agree with me on that.”
The initial spin was it was a joke, because, the suspension of freedom is funny, or something.
