SINGAPORE - A Singapore Polytechnic lecturer died on Monday, after suffering a heart attack and collapsing on campus, reported the New Paper and citizen journalism site, Stomp.

Ms Jacqueline Ho - reported to be in her 40s, was found unconscious outside her office at around 11am.

Ms Ho was the teacher of students who were involved in the Night Safari "Halloween Horrors" project that was abruptly cancelled.

Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers received a call at about 11.06am, and an ambulance arrived within nine minutes.

An automated external defibrillator was used on her and she was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the way to the National University Hospital (NUH).

But she died at the hospital soon after.

Ms Ho was teaching at the polytechnic for over a year, at the School of Architecture & the Built Environment, and was described by her students as "approachable", "inspiring", "bubbly" and "optimistic".

She was in charge of the students who had spent months on their "Halloween Horrors" final year project for their diploma in Integrated Events and Project Management, before it was cancelled.

Ms Ho leaves behind a husband, a son, 16, and a daughter, 14.
